In June 1998 the company launched out on a project to collect separated municipal waste. The project covered the town and country areas of Pszczyna resulting in an annual collection average of 14,500 m3 of separated wastes. Selective collection is carried out for three types of waste:
In the areas with blocks of flats recyclable materials are collected in special containers, whereas in the country areas and the town`s areas with detached houses at the source separation is practised using colour-coded plastic bags with instructions of use printed on them. After such separation waste is then collected following a strict schedule and is later used in recycling processes. |
